How had the movie 'The Matrix' affected how we've developed in technology? Two words, Virtual Reality. We live off of computers, so why can't we live in one? Today, there are so many different virtual worlds, that so many people spend countless hours playing. We don't live in the real world, and to some, it doesn't exist at all. We live on, off, and through our computers. 'The Matrix' isn't so far off where we are in the world. And the whole cell phone that once amazed everyone, is so old and obsolete, no self-respecting teenager would be caught dead with it. We're starting to blow past what they came out with. We're advancing at an incredible pace, that can either be viewed as a good thing, or a bad thing.
It's a good thing because then we can better understand our world, as well better communicate with those around it. It's a bad thing because, we'll fat, lazy, constantly run on energy drinks, and if our computer crashes, it seems like the end of the world, which really, it's about making sure you have everything backed up, and taking it in to get it fixed. NO BIG DEAL! That, and the fact that if we are all fluent in tech talk, then hacking into another computer, stealing everything that person has, and crashing it beyond repair is as simple as breathing.
And that's my opinion.
